Treasure Hunting: Folk Culture in the Greater is an annual heavyweight project launched by Southern Metropolis Daily and N Video, under the guidance of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee Propaganda Department. This project includes eight micro-documentaries and one virtual puppet animation. The series uses 4K display and interactive animation to vividly showcase the lesser-known folk culture and the stories of setting sail for trade in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

The series revolves around Jin (Junta), an emerging actor, and Akin (Takato), a former 5 times winner of ‘Most Huggable Man of the Year’. Jin's skyrocketing popularity triggers a playful rivalry with Akin, whose once-unrivalled status gets challenged by the younger star.
