Chen Xiaoqing, a documentary filmmaker, works on food documentaries and writing, searching for new flavors is his job. This program is the first time he goes in front of the camera to explore the stories behind the food with his own perspective. Chen travels to eight different regions in China, where he works with different guides to complete his own flavor journey. He believes that “food is not only delicious, but also a kind of adhesive that allows for more understanding and communication.”

2025년, 자금성은 개원 100주년(1925년 10월 10일~2025년 10월 10일)을 맞아 오문에서 100주년 대형 전시를 개최한다. 황제의 궁전에서 인민의 박물관으로, 605년의 역사를 가진 자금성은 중화 5천 년 문명과 현재 시대를 연결하는 세계 문화유산이 되었다. 본 다큐는 신화사 기자 장양의 시선을 통해 자금성의 100년 간의 탐구와 발전의 길을 깊이 있게 조명한다: 디지털 기술이 자금성을 물리적 담장을 넘어 중국 홍콩, 마카오 동포 및 전 세계인들의 스마트폰 속으로 생생히 전달하는 과정, 문화재 복원사들의 정교한 손길과 현대 기술이 만나 문명의 맥박을 이어가는 현장, 한 세대를 이어온 자금성 인들이 궁전 수호를 넘어 문화적 가치를 창조해내는 지혜; 자금성은 더 이상 과거의 상징이 아니라 생생하고 다양하게 변모하여 미래를 향한 새로운 활력을 발산하고 있다. 이는 단순한 100주년 축제의 서막이 아닌, 문명 수호, 가치 재창조 및 미래 연결에 관한 깊이 있는 대화이다.

The 10-episode series focuses on Zi River in central Hunan, known for Anhua Dark Tea and the Tea Horse Road. Local cuisines highlight seasonal flavors. Starting from Shaoyang, the source of Zi River, our journey spans 650+ km through Lengshui River, Xinhua, Anhua, Taojiang, and Yiyang, ending at Dongting Lake and Yueyang. Our camera captures stunning mountains and villages. Local dialect "Have you eaten? Come and eat." invites global guests to enjoy Hunan's hospitality and diverse cuisine.
