Zombies become generals

On a dark night with a strong wind, Master Shidao and his disciple unexpectedly encounter a group of reanimated corpses gone mad, who are consuming the souls of decapitated soldiers. After quelling the chaos, they discover a plot involving someone using these reanimated soldiers to smuggle opium. Entrusted by the local authorities, the master and disciple investigate the truth. Along the way, they rescue a young bride forced into a ghost marriage using a borrowed corpse and head to the mysterious village of Nanya, where rumors of corpse-reanimation rituals abound. In this eerie and mysterious village, deceased generals rise from the dead, and within the long-lost Five Elements Corpse-Resurrection Formation, bloodthirsty creatures emerge. Even the master Shidao's protective formations are broken by the malevolent spirits. Amidst numerous dangers, can the group escape with their lives, and how will they uncover the hidden puppeteer responsible for the nation's suffering through poison?
