The Prisoner of Beauty

A retreat on the battlefield orchestrated by Xiaoqiao's grandfather fourteen years ago resulted in the deaths of Wei family elders, igniting a bitter clan feud. Now, Wei Shao, the sole Wei survivor, marches on Yanzhou, ostensibly for revenge but truly to restore the vital Yongning Canal. Seeing through his plan, Xiaoqiao agrees to a strategic marriage to ease the crisis.
