Cai Xiaoying and Li Lili are a mother-daughter duo from the distant Andromeda Galaxy. As Andromedans devoid of emotions, their thousand-year relationship remains fraught with friction.

Working as an interstellar corporate drone, Li Lili’s job is to investigate every aspect of Earth. To "dig deeper," she marries a local man, Xiao Meng. Just as newlywed life begins, Cai Xiaoying shows up uninvited, planning to mooch off free accommodation for six months while scrounging travel funds. Meanwhile, Xiao Meng has a biological father, whose unreliability rivals Ms. Cai’s. Thus, the "Sarcastic Squad" is formed. This makeshift family will navigate endless comedic mishaps and challenges in the days to come.
