Gu Qianyu, as a child, was involved in a car accident in which he lost his parents. Tragedy left a deep scar on him, in the form of psychological trauma, that doesn't allow him to get closer to other people. So he goes through his life, unable to love and feeling loved, by anyone. However, that changes one day when he meets Zeng Fanxing. Because Zeng Fanxing is a robot who is supposed to keep him company, but also to heal his emotional scars.
