Legend of The Female General

Adapted from the popular novel Rebirth of the Female General, this drama follows He Yan, the eldest daughter of the He family forced to disguise herself as the family's legitimate heir He Rufei to preserve their noble status. In her youth, He Yan encounters the gifted Xiao Jue at Xianchang Academy, but later abandons scholarly pursuits to forge her own destiny on the battlefield. Years later, she returns but the family conspires against her because of her brother. He Yan survives and reinvents herself as the city gate captain's daughter Hee Yan. Disguised as a man, she enlists in the Yezhou army, determined to reclaim her rightful legacy. Her journey intertwines with the gentle and noble Chu Zhao, while fate reunites her with Xiao Jue.
