Predestination

Set in the Republican era, the story follows Tong Xiaoliu, a carefree crosstalk apprentice who sets out to rescue Da Lian, a woman being forced into marriage. The journey is fraught with danger, but with wit and cunning, Xiaoliu outsmarts those in power and nearly escapes unscathed. That is until he accidentally falls into a mysterious time-warping barrier and begins a desperate search for a way back. Meanwhile, a long-planned murder plot is about to unfold, and the secrets Da Lian has been hiding are finally about to come to light.
