본 드라마는 푸줏간 주인의 딸 번장옥과 곤경에 빠진 후작 사정이 눈보라 속에서 운명적으로 만나는 이야기를 다룬다.  
부모를 잃고 가장이 되려는 여인과 신분을 감추고 17년 전의 피 맺힌 원한을 갚으려는 사내, 두 사람은 각자의 목적을 위해 위장 혼인을 하지만 그 과정에서 진정한 사랑이 싹튼다.
