The Comic Bang

"The Comic Bang" is a Chinese drama series directed by Zhong Qing ("Please Feel at Ease Mr. Ling") and starring Shen Yue ("The Yin Yang Master") and Wang Jingxuan ("Ancient Love Poetry").

The story revolves around Luo Qiandai (played by Shen Yue) confessing her feelings to her crush, Ye Qi (played by Wang Jingxuan). Unexpectedly, Ye Qi gifts her a signed copy and tricks her into becoming his assistant for inking his comics. It turns out that the cold and aloof top student, Ye Qi, is actually a famous female manga artist! As Qiandai is mistaken for a fan, she enters Ye Qi's world of comics and gets to know a group of colorful and eccentric individuals. Each day is filled with unpredictable and exciting anti-cliché, high-energy, and anti-Mary Sue storylines. As the relationship between Qiandai and Ye Qi experiences ups and downs, everyone moves forward in pursuit of their dreams in the world of manga.
