In early 1930, all forces emerged and struggled in Shanghai and the society was in chaos. Ding Yiqing, the daughter of a rich businessman in Ningbo, came to Shanghai all alone. She got acquainted with many underground workers including Lin Mosheng, Dong Hongyu, and Du Ying. They experienced the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War in 1938 and the Pacific War in 1942, during which they completed all kinds of revolutionary missions for secret underground battles in Shanghai, especially on the economic front. They contributed their youthful passion for the day they had been dreaming of.
